Youth Programs

For safety purposes, unless otherwise stated, the following classes are for the registered participants only. We ask you to leave your child in our care during class and to pick them up promptly when class is over. If minimum registration has not been met by 8 a.m. the first day of a session, the class may be cancelled.


Elk’s Hoop Shoot

This national basketball free throw shooting contest is for boys and girls of ages 8 to 13 years. Free food and drinks will be provided. Winners can continue to the District finals in Redding.

Recreation Scholarships

Paradise Recreation & Park District together with the Grosso Endowment Fund is offering summer recreation scholarships for area youth who would like to participate in recreation classes or programs, but may be limited by income restrictions. The scholarship program will be beneficial by allowing qualifying families to participate in recreational activities through the District. Interested applicants should call the District office beginning February 14, 2017 8:00am to schedule an appointment. All details of the scholarships will be kept completely confidential. Scholarships will be available until funds are exhausted.


Children's Dance Classes


Pre Ballet

This class is for boys or girls and includes fun music, games and dress up while learning the basics of dance. Dance attire and ballet shoes are recommended and available for purchase at Dance Evolution Studio. Please have hair up and bring a water bottle to class. The final class of the session will be a demonstration that parents can view.

Tumbling

This class is for boys or girls and teaches basic floor gymnastics. Headstands, handstands, cartwheels, round- off's, rolls, and MORE! Students should wear either dance or exercise apparel. Please have hair up and bring a water bottle to class. Students will have bare feet for the class.

Jazzy Hip Hop

different dance styles so that boys and girls may discover the style of dance they enjoy the most. Students will learn Jazz, Hip Hop, even Tumbling. Students should wear either dance or exercise apparel. Jazz shoes are recommended and are available for purchase at Dance Evolution Studio. Please have hair up and bring a water bottle. The final class will be a demonstration that parents are invited to attend.
