Youth Programs

For safety purposes, unless otherwise stated, the following classes are for the registered participants only. We ask you to leave your child in our care during class and to pick them up promptly when class is over. If minimum registration has not been met by 8 a.m. the first day of a session, the class may be cancelled.


Children's Art

Sketching & Watercolor Painting

Learn basic techniques: light and shadow, values and perspective. We study color, composition and different basic shapes, elements in design. Fee includes all art supplies and a juice break. Class size limited.

Recreation Scholarships

Paradise Recreation & Park District together with the Grosso Endowment Fund is offering summer recreation scholarships for area youth who would like to participate in recreation classes or programs, but may be limited by income restrictions. The scholarship program will be beneficial by allowing qualifying families to participate in recreational activities through the District. Interested applicants should call the District office beginning February 14, 2017 8:00am to schedule an appointment. All details of the scholarships will be kept completely confidential. Scholarships will be available until funds are exhausted.


Aquatic Park

Aquatic Park Camp

Join us in our day camp location adjacent to the swimming pool. This program will combine the adventure of day camp with the fun of swimming at the community pool. Crafts, archery, organized games, and special events will fill the summer weeks at Aquatic Park Camp. You may join us on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Your afternoon session fee will include entrance to the second swim session of the day. A concession stand will be available. Children must be 5 years old and have completed kindergarten. A camp T-shirt is to be purchased at time of registration.

Camp Coutolenc

Located at Coutolenc Park in Magalia, this outdoor day camp offers an exciting variety of outdoor activities including archery, crafts, camp cooking, sports and games, hiking, camp safety, fishing, and environmental awareness. Extended Day Camp at Aquatic Park and transportation are also optional. This program is aided by the Prestopino Family Fund.

Children's Dance Classes

Dance Combo

This exciting class is comprised of several different dance styles so that boys and girls may discover the style of dance they enjoy the most. Students will learn some Jazz, Hip Hop and Tumbling, even some Ballet will be taught. Students should wear either dance or exercise apparel. Ballet or jazz shoes are recommended and are available for purchase at Dance Evolution Studio. Please have hair up and bring a water bottle. The final class of the session will be a demonstration that parents are invited to view.

Adult Dance

Tumbling

This class is for boys or girls and teaches basic floor gymnastics. Headstands, handstands, cartwheels, round- off's, rolls, and MORE! Students should wear either dance or exercise apparel. Please have hair up and bring a water bottle to class. Students will have bare feet for the class. The final class of the session will be a demonstration that parents are invited to view.
