Tennis Clinic

Join instructor Josh Hamilton for five one-hour sessions designed to introduce the fundamentals of tennis. If you are just learning the game or have always wanted to pick up a racket, come learn all the basic strokes to get your tennis career started or improve your skills. Please bring your own tennis racket and get ready to have some fun.

Open to ages 8-17.

Parks make life better

Junior Wrestling

Wrestling is a safe, fun sport that highly emphasizes strength, skill, and conditioning. Individuals will compete against others their own size in a controlled supervised setting. Program goal is to teach discipline, skills, and training necessary to develop a competitive wrestler. Tournaments are held on Saturdays at various sites. Parent meeting will be at the Terry Ashe Recreation Center (6626 Skyway) on Monday October 30 at 6pm. For more information contact Colin Moakley at 624-5420 or Shannon Magpusao at 321-1676.

Little Hoopsters

This program will introduce boys and girls from 5 years old to 2nd grade to the sport of basketball. Emphasis will be on skill development and learning the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun atmosphere. Small sized baskets and balls will be used to aid in learning.

Basketball Elementary League

Join our beginning level recreational basketball program teaching boys and girls the basic fundamentals and skills of basketball. The program will include clinics, practices, and league games. Separate leagues will be planned for boys and girls at each grade level. Preliminary schedules will be given out at registration. Volunteer coaches needed.

Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm (depending on game time) 3-6GR, practices during the week.

Cross Country

Youth Cross Country Meets

This program will provide cross country running races that are open to individuals or school teams. Children that are in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to participate in this program. The running course will be set up at beautiful Bille Park with the start near the meadow area. There will be different race distances for the following grade levels: K-2nd, 3-5th, 6-7th, and 8th grade. Children can practice on their own or ask if their school will be forming a team.

Track & Field Conditioning

This program will introduce and familiarize children to the sport of track and field. We will practice running and long jumping along with basic fitness training. The program will also include nutrition, stretching, physical fitness, and sportsmanship.

Baseball: Tee Ball

This summer tee ball program is a great way to introduce your child to the sport of baseball while installing a positive attitude toward the importance of physical fitness and sportsmanship. Children will learn through drills, scrimmages, and skill development in a camp-like setting. Includes t-shirt. (No class July 4)

Volleyball: Jr. High Camp

This is a great opportunity for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade boys and girls to learn the game of volleyball or improve their skills while staying in shape. Join Paradise High School Volleyball Coach John Parks as he teaches you the fundamentals needed to become a better player.
