Board of Directors Meeting Presentation Preparation
Getting ready to address the Paradise Recreation and Park District Board of Directors
Thank you for your interest in presenting to the Board. We want to set you up for success as you prepare to deliver your presentation by giving you as much information as possible and by recieving your digital presentation material in advance of the presentation date.
Here are a few guidelines to consider as you prepare your presentation:
- Board meetings are subject to the Brown Act, which includes hybrid meeting accomodations. Your presentation will be heard by the Board, PRPD Staff, and interested parties both in the room and publicly online.
- Presentations are limited to 10 minutes. A timer can be displayed on the drop down projection screen upon request.
- The Directors may ask you questions upon the completion of your presentation. A frequently asked questions(FAQ) bullet point sheet is very helpful, consider uploading one in the form below.
- Please arrive half an hour before the start of the meeting to check in with the Board Clerk and to meet the technical support person. Directions to the Terry Ashe Center HERE
Technical Considerations
- Please provide your presentation in any of the following formats
- PowerPoint file
- PDF file
- Google Slides file or link
- If you would like to show a video within your 10 minute presentation
- Consider linking content in your presentation to an external link
- Test the video links before sending your presentation to PRPD staff
- Ensure audio is not muted when sending video link
PRPD staff will reach out to you to confirm your submission, answer your questions, and ensure you have a positive experience presenting to our Board.
